The "Emirates Journal of Food and Agriculture [EJFA]" is a unique, peer-reviewed Journal of Food and Agriculture publishing basic and applied research articles in the field of agricultural sciences by the College of Food and Agriculture, United Arab Emirates University, United Arab Emirates.
Aims and Scope
EJFA is devoted to sharing original basic and applied research articles in the fields of Food Science and Technology, Agricultural Sciences (Plant Production & Protection, and Animal Sciences), Human Nutrition, Agribusiness, Consumer Sciences and the Environment. Interdisciplinary articles in the fields of food, agriculture and environment are welcome.
External Peer Review
The refereeing process of EJFA has been streamlined and the journal is continuing in its efforts to provide peer-reviewed best quality academic research in Agriculture, Food Science, Nutrition, Biotechnology and other inter related scientific disciplines. Through this, EJFA aims to be a cited journal in near future.
The streamlined blind review process helps the journal to maintain its high integrity and provide high quality peer-reviewed academic and professional research to the scientific society throughout the world.
The submitted papers will pass through initial screening in the editorial office followed by internal review by Internal Board of Reviewing Editors. Then the paper will be checked through the Advanced Plagiarism Detection Software (CrossCheck by iThenticate). After this, the paper will be assigned to Senior Editor for conducting the External Peer Review by two reviewers. After revision, again the paper will undergo CrossCheck screening
Frequency
Having published 24 Volumes since 1989, the frequency increased from 6 issues to 12 issues per year starting with volume 25th. Thereby EJFA becomes first monthly scientific journal in the field from the region. Issues will appear online prior to printing. And, soon after final acceptance, the article with abstract and doi numbers will appear in e-Preview issues section. PDFs will be uploaded as per schedule. This decision was taken to speed up the production of large number of high quality manuscripts submitted by fellow researchers from all over the world.
There are NO Submission/HandlingPublication/Subscription charges, and the articles are published online with full open access. Further, the corresponding author will get one complimentary copy of the printed journal.
Special Issues
Any researchers can submit proposal for organizing special issues, but the final decision will be from editorial office. And, special issues or proceedings are also considered from Conferences and Seminars. The organizing secretary can request for special issues.
